i was in the Maldives for a bit... almost around New Year's. i chickened out of scuba-diving. the pressure hurts my ears, etc.

(P.s. It turns out that i can swim, after all. i wouldn't have guessed.)

Biryani from Hyderabad House (the chicken just melted in the mouth!) with a bunch of friends, Tiramisu for dessert. Yacked till midnight, hugged, crashed.

's OK - been going there every Christmas for 30+ years, 2 weeks at a time. :)

BTW - did you know that when we went diving (snorkeling, not scuba) off Calangute, Baga and Anjuna Beach in the 70s and 80s, the water was so clear and blue that you could see right to the bottom, just as it is in Mauritius today? :)

Scuba Diving! Wow!
Switched off my mobile and hit the bed at 10. Thatz what I did on New Year's eve. But to make up for it I am off to Bandipur from 7-11 (Hope my wife's leave getz approved)
